Dedication Ceremony for the Student Build

Saturday, December 13 beginning at 3:00pm at 2429 Whispering Prairie Ave. in southeast Iowa City

Come welcome Vala Calkins-Kindon and her family into their new Habitat home! Celebrate the completion of Iowa Valley Habitat for Humanity's 54th house. The Student Build was sponsored by the 2008 UI Homecoming Committee and UI student organizations. Come take a tour of the completed house, meet the new Habitat partner family, and see what Habitat is really all about!

Hammer Head Putt-Putt event

Friday, Jan. 30 from 5 - 9pm & Saturday, Jan. 31 from 10am - 6pm at Coral Ridge Mall

In conjuction with the mall's Family Free Friday events, Habitat will have mini-golf and children's activity stations set up where kids can learn about recycling and make crafts to take home with them.

On Saturday, 104.5 KDAT will be broadcasting from the mall. From 10am - 1pm, we'll have a tournament for teams of up to 4 players. From 1 - 6pm, we'll have open golf for individuals. Come play 18 holes of putt-putt and help raise money for Iowa Valley Habitat for Humanity! All proceeds will benefit TippieBuild2, a house sponsored and built by the University of Iowa Tippie College of Business students.

UI Homecoming 2008 and Iowa Valley Habitat for Humanity

We are proud to announce The University of Iowa's partnership with Iowa Valley Habitat for Homecoming 2008. Student groups involved will participate in a Wall Build on Sunday, September 14 and use the wall they built to serve as part of their float in the Homecoming parade. A week after the parade, the students will use the previously built wall sections to build and enclose our 54^th house!
